Scott Kolins - After AlphaFlight.net first interviewed artist Scott Kolins, it was revealed that Omega Flight had been made a Mini-Series rather than the originally intended full series. We caught back up with Scott get his reactions on the announcement. Scott also discusses he new art-style.
"I love these characters, love Alpha Flight stuff in general, and really enjoy working with Mike and would always seriously consider being involved if it continued. If anything it changes my motivation while working on the book. Now I really want Omega to go over big and kick some major butt. But understand I can’t guarantee my continued involvement - the offer may come too late. I may have had to take other jobs fill my schedule. I gotta make a mortgage and put food on the table."

Michael Avon Oeming - Michael Avon Oeming discusses Marvel's decision to alter Omega Flight from a regular series to a 5 issue mini-series.
"I don't know. I kind of keep my head down and draw and write all day. But the fans are going crazy, in a good way and really getting the word out. Grass roots is what could save the book. But hey, if it doesn't, there's no nail in the coffin, no one even stays dead at Marvel, books can always come back. "

Andy Schmidt - When the solicitation for Omega Flight #1 came out, fans were shocked to see that it was slated to be a 5 issue Mini-Series instead of a full length series as was originally intended. AlphaFlight.net spoke with Omega Flight editor Andy Schmidt to uncover what had happened.
"From what I’m seeing, there’s more of a push than ever behind OMEGA FLIGHT, and that’s a great thing for us. The more noise you make, hopefully, the more retailers will order, and the more other fans will hear about the series. I know and understand that some folks think that this is some sort of slam on the book, but it really isn’t. Again, with a limited and then going to an ongoing is something I’ve done several times as an editor, and Mike has done as a writer, so this makes sense to us. It’s actually very good for the book, I think."

Michael Avon Oeming - Michael Avon Oeming shares his thoughts on his upcoming Omega Flight series. He discusses a variety of subject of concern for "Classic" Alpha Flight fans, and new fans to Omega alike.
"No, it has nothing to do with the lack of original characters. There is a hard core base for Flight, but not enough to sustain a book, where other people will see those same characters and "I never read them before, why would I read it now?" I have to admit, Marvel has relaunched some books where I felt the same way. I wont name names, but I look at it and thought "I never liked it before..." kind of like Mushrooms. I dont care how good they are made, I just dont like them and Im done trying them.
The book has to stand on its own merit, good stories, art and support from the company and fans. Its really that simple. "

Scott Kolins - Omega Flight artist Scott Kolins meets with AlphaFlight.net to discuss his artistic influences, and the upcoming series.
"I‘d love to work up a ton of new versions of some classic ALPHA FLIGHT characters and make them more unique for our book. Time will tell which ones I get to work on. I’ve had some thoughts on The Master and what I’d like to do with him. The Great Beasts would be incredible to really work over. Wen-Di-Go would be awesome too."

Mark Millar - Possible Alpha Flight Re-Launch - AlphaFlight.net mini-interview with Mark Millar discussing the possibility of an Alpha Flight re-launch and how that ties in with Millar's Marvel Civil War.
"I just love the Alpha Flight stuff I'm reading too and plan to end MCW with the possibility of a very good, very high profile Alpha Flight book spinning out of the series. These are great characters and it's a great concept and I want it to be treated seriously or not at all. It's in Marvel's hands what happens after MCW, but they're very keen to bring back some of the old school magic we've been missing for a while and AF is right there on my list with several other characters."

John Calimee - AlphaFlight.net interviewer Del Robinson, and former Alpha Flight artist John Calimee, discuss John's comic history, his invovement with Alpha Flight, and his views on the comic book industry.
"I do hope someday to sit on a panel of the "Most vilified runs in Comic History." -I know John Byrne expects to be on the panel. But not. As much as he thinks he's picked on, he has no clue. Afterwards, I hope to sit with Rob Liefeld and drown our sorrows in a few beers. I'll tell him about a letter I read at the Marvel offices from 3, 10 year old girls from Jersey who were dropping Alpha-Flight unless I was taken off the book. It's hard being dissed in crayon. - Let's see if Rob can top that one."

Mark Milliar - The Death Of Northstar - Mark Millar discusses the death of Northstar in the Wolverine #25:
" This was one of the main reasons I picked him over several of the other characters I considered. They obviously have a shared history in Alpha Flight and a shared heritage to some extent. I have a scene in issue 27..."

Part Two of Six - Centennial
Part Three of Six - Sasquatch

Scott Lobdell Talks Alpha Flight: Jennifer M. Contino from Mile High Comics'
The Pulse interviews Scott Lobdell shortly after the announcement of Alpha Flight v.3
"While I can't be responsible for Wizard's interpretation of my take on ALPHA FLIGHT, I don't see it as "humorous" or a "funny direction"...in fact, issue six is going to introduce a very horrific gut wrenching Sophie's Choice type decision into the Marvel Universe in a way that I don't think any other story ever has...I think. "

Thoughts of James Hudnall - Interview by Del Robinson: Del Robinson has a fun one on one With "The Hud". Del and James Hudnall discuss everything from Science Fiction, to James' run on Alpha Flight.
"I was working on Strikeforce: Morituri and my editor Carl Potts also edited Alpha Flight. He and Bill Mantlo had a falling out, so he asked me if I was interested in taking the book over, which I was more than happy to do. They had me do a fill in before, so they know I could do it. That was issue 63."

AlphaFlight.net Interviews Duncan Rouleau: Duncan Rouleau was the artist, and co-writer of Alpha Flight v.2. This interview was conducted shortly after Marvel announced the cancellation of the series.
"Cancellation. I was sad. I didn't think that we were given enough time to "re-establish" the book. It was short sighted of Marvel. Personally the book is just starting to come to the place that Steve and I wanted to take it. We had another year of plans at least."

AlphaFlight.net Interviews James D. Hudnall: James D. Hudnall was presented with a donting task. He relieved the writer with the longest run on Alpha Flight, whom some attribute to the near destruction of the book.
"Yes. I was going to try to restore the team to Byrne's original cast except for the first Guardian. And then, I wanted to take it from there. But I never got the chance. When Danny Fingeroth took over editing the book he fired me for Fabian Nicenza. And the rest is a sad history, needless to say."
