Synopsis: Kara returns Northstar to the mansion and makes him jump in the pool
to break her control of him. She asks for their help controlling her power, but
they hesitate, and she runs away, making Jeffries help her.
Jeffries had been trying to help Roger emerge from Box, which he transformed
into a decompression chamber. Roger is left inside with a bad case of the bends.
Kara takes Jeffries out on the town (Toronto, that is), eating and spending
and manipulating minds at will. Returning home, her mother lectures her, so she
leaves.
The Auctioneer kidnaps Kara and gasses her to control her. He tries to auction
them both off as weapons, but when he cuts off her power, he inadvertently frees
Jeffries, who blows the roof off the joint. Alpha Flight comes to the rescue,
Kara fells the Auctioneer herself, and all return to the mansion.
Kara uses her power to awaken Roger, who merges once more with Box. The team
decides to reestablish Beta Flight, with her as the only member, to train her.
Northstar is not thrilled.
