Synopsis: In Danwei in Tibet, Puck observes Red Chinese troops attacking

Buddhist priests, who defend themselves by magically creating flowers (to block
vision) and a force-field (to block bullets), but are unexpectedly attacked by
helicopters.
Puck uses plastique explosives to fight back (although he knows the priests
believe only in passive resistance). Since he has no malice, he is able to
penetrate the force field. He asks the High Lama to give him access to another
world, to start his life over without the mistakes of his past.
Dei is ordered to use his power to become a dragon, given him by the
Geomancer. He breaches the force field, allowing the troops to advance. He
attacks Judd and the High Lama, killing the latter and then regretting it.
But the High Lama wanted to die, to gain access to other worlds. He opens the
door to Liveworld, where Alpha Flight is battling the Dreamqueen.
Back in Canada, Walter's widow tries to take possession of the mansion and is
stopped by government troops.
