Driftwood: Well, I got about a foot and a half. Now, it says, uh, "The party of the second part shall be known in this contract as the party of the second part."
Fiorello: Well, I don't know about that...
Driftwood: Now what's the matter?
Fiorello: I no like-a the second party, either.
Driftwood: Well, you should've come to the first party. We didn't get home 'til around four in the morning... I was blind for three days!
I love Nextwave so much.
Easily my favourite book out there right now, and of the last few years.
I've never read the title. What's so great about it?
For me, it's a celebration AND satire of superhero comics, and is the most fun I've had from a superhero comic since I was running round trying to be Spider-Man, aged 5.
It's not to a lot of people's tastes; there are some almost crude jokes, and the stereotyping of the characters isn't necessarilly in keeping with how people are used to them being written.
I'd definitely suggest reading it, but maybe before you purchase a copy.
In the latest Joe Friday, JQ has said there may be a Nextwave 2 at some point. I'd like to think so, but ...

such a fantastic series! I didn't know it was ending...

It's ending at #12 unfortunately. The numbers are good enough to keep the title going and keep Ellis on the book, but...

I'll give a few a quick read through next time I'm in my LCS.
LOVE this series.
Nextwave is ending but it'll return as a series of minis or as a "season 2" at some point. I actually don't mind them trying to keep the integrety of the series that way instead of subbing in another artist, without Stewart Immonen (a Canuck, btw) I just couldn't see it working.
